President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the budget of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for this summer’s World Cup.

This disclosure was made by NFF President, Aminu Maigari, during Tuesday’s meeting with Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi where deliberations were made over the provisional list of invited players.

Maigari assured that preparations are in top gear to ensure that the country posts a good outing in Brazil.
“For our preparation, we are very much on track and we have received the president’s approval for the World Cup funding,” Maigari said.

“We are not under any form of pressure and it is our belief that the Eagles will do well at the World Cup and we need everybody’s input to actualize it.”

Maigari further assured that the Federation will not interfere with Coach Stephen Keshi’s selection process as his administration reposed utmost faith in the tactician.
