The draws for the qualifiers of the 2015 Orange Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco has thrown up some mouth watering clashes as North African rivals Tunisia and Egypt will do battle against each other in Group G.
In Group A, defending champions Nigeria will clash with 1996 winners South Africa, Sudan and either of Congo/Namibia/Libya/Rwanda.

The seven group winners, the runners-up in each group, and the third best placed country will join hosts Morocco as automatic qualifiers.

The draw procedure saw 28 teams divided into 4 groups with each pot having 7 teams based on CAF’s ranking of the teams.

The qualifiers serve a major phase towards the final tournament. Forty-nine (49) teams will fight for 15 places for the final tournament.
The 2015 Orange CAF Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco from January 17 to February 8, 2015.

The President of Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Fouzi Lekjaa, said his outfit, is prepared to ensure the best of conditions for a successful tournament.

“We are committed to organizing a successful tournament. The tournament is also an opportunity for the youth on the continent to participate and showcase their talents to the world.”
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are the reigning African champions after beating Burkina Faso 1-0 in the final last year in South Africa.
