The League Management Company (LMC) has banished defending champions Kano Pillars to the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna as a result of crowd trouble at a recent home game.
The LMC ruled that Pillars fans attacked match officials who handled their Week 10 game against Heartland, which ended 1-1.
Pillars media officer, Idris Malikawa, has asked the league to revert the decision.
"We received the letter that we have been banished to Kaduna for our next three home games starting from this weekend game against Nasarawa United. We didn't hear anything of such until now, the game ended peacefully and no one told us anything. We are just appealing to LMC to rescind this decision," Malikawa told AfricanFootball.com
Last season, Pillars were banished to Lokoja after another episode of crowd trouble during a crucial clash against Enyimba.
Ironically, the league champions were held hostage for half an hour on Wednesday when they won 3-2 at Gombe United.
