Armed combination of soldiers and police keep unhappy fans away from Eagles

After suffering a 0-1 loss away to Sudan, the Nigeria squad returned to Abuja on Sunday morning to be met by boos from fans at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport.

The squad touched down at around 9AM local time, and as they emerged to make for their bus, they were met by boos and catcalls from the handful of fans gathered at the airport.

It took the intervention of armed soldiers and policemen to disperse the small crowd.

On Wednesday, the team, who were handed a lifeline by South Africa's defeat of Congo, will play the return leg against Sudan.

  2. I thought since there's now a possible chance to qualify for the nation's cup after his win against Sudan, he will be given a chance to finish the qualifiers at least.
